Products in the Flame Family 2020 line will include a Z Depth Map Generator that analyzes live-action scenes and generates depth maps that can be used to apply effects based on distance from camera in color-grading or look development.
A productivity enhancement called Automatic Background Reactor is only available on Linux, but aims to keep projects moving by triggering background rendering automatically whenever a shot has been modified. Flame, Flare and Flame Assist 2020 will also support Open FX plug-ins as batch/BFX nodes or directly on the Flame timeline, as well as for Cryptomatte rendering.
Flame, Flare, Flame Assist and Lustre 2020 will be released on April 15 as a free upgrade for users with a current Flame Family 2019 subscription, Autodesk said. A one-year subscription to Flame is $4,205.
With the newest release of Autodesk products, we bring you a new list of Autodesk 2020 product keys. Product keys are required for installation of Autodesk products and are used to differentiate products that are both sold independently and as part of a product suite.
For example, installing AutoCAD 2020 as a point product requires product key 001L1, but installing AutoCAD 2020 from the AutoCAD Design Suite Premium 2020 requires product key 768L1. The same version of AutoCAD is in both software packages but the product key differentiates one package from the other.
Adding myself to this so I get updates- RGS is working really well on our Flames, we are running 7.7, but I'm testing 2020 on one machine. Been struggling with audio sync and this explains everything.
Advancements in computer vision, photogrammetry and machine learning have made it possible to extract motion vectors, Z depth and 3D normals based on software analysis of digital stills or image sequences. The Flame 2020 release adds built-in machine learning analysis algorithms to isolate and modify common objects in moving footage, dramatically accelerating VFX and compositing workflows.
For single-user licenses, Linux customers can now opt for monthly, yearly and three-year single user licensing options. Customers with an existing Mac-only single user license can transfer their license to run Flame on Linux.Flame, Flare, Flame Assist and Lustre 2020 will be available on April 16, 2019 at no additional cost to customers with a current Flame Family 2019 subscription. Pricing details can be found at the Autodesk website.
As a result of all of this new information that can now be extracted, Flame 2020 includes machine learning analysis algorithms built-in to isolate, follow and modify common objects in moving footage, and help speed up VFX and compositing workflows.
Flame 2020 has other new functionality that helps improve efficiency and workflows. For example, an automated background rendering mode is triggered immediately after modifying a shot that sends jobs to process. This Automatic Background Reactor allows Flame artists to keep projects moving using all available GPU and system capacity. It is available on Linux systems only, and can function on a single GPU.
Flame, Flare and Flame Assist version 2020 now includes comprehensive support for OpenFX, the open standard for 2D visual effects or compositing plug-ins. These plugins are supported either as Batch/BFX nodes, or on the Flame timeline. Support is also available in Flame and Flare for the Cryptomatte open source advanced rendering technique (created by Psyop), which gives users a new way to pack alpha channels for every object in a 3D rendered scene.

Autodesk has also announced the upcoming Flame Family 2016 Extension 2 release that will be available to customers later this month. It brings new format support and stunning performance gains in color grading workflows. Lustre Reactor brings new GPU acceleration to color grading workflows and significantly improves performance when using blur, keying and softness controls for both preview and rendering operations. Other enhancements in Lustre include 32-bit floating point GPU rendering locally, via Shot Reactor and when using Autodesk background rendering software; performance enhancements when working with Open EXR source media with embedded mattes; UI support for high DPI monitors (4K); and new Print View and Print LUT support when using AJA SDI output. Across the Flame family of products, when importing media, artists can take advantage of new support the full DNxHR media family by using either QuickTime or MXF containers, as well as updated support for R3D media files including R3D SDK 6.0.3, allowing Flame to directly support the new Dragon 6K sensor and Rec 2020 color space. When exporting media, the extension supports Sony MPEG-4 Part 2 Simple Studio Profile (SStP) encoding in an MXF wrapper, supporting a variety of formats and presets.
As of today, the 2016 versions of Flame, Lustre, Flare and Flame Assist are available for purchase as software subscription only through an Autodesk Reseller or Autodesk Sales Representative. For more information, visit autodesk.com/flame.
There was plenty of room to maneuver for maintaining high-end market leadership: Higher rez 4k efficiency, faster renders, and real time playback alone with the added rock solid tracking and keying automation, stability, etc, etc that would still have kept flame miles ahead of the rest, resulting in that extreme overall speed in the end. I mean the UI efficiency alone would have been enough reason for the customers to spend more.
